Have you ever tried podcast marketing? Even though many people don’t know it, podcast marketing is another great way to get your product or service out to the market quickly, efficiently, and without a lot of costs. Here are some reasons why.

Probably one of the biggest reasons why you should do podcast marketing is in the size of the audience. According to the latest survey by the Radio Joint Audience Research group, 79% of people listen to Podcasts on their desktop or laptop computers. At least 3.7 million people listen to podcasts each week, and spend an hour each week listening to those podcasts. Even though 75% of them listen to comedy and music, that gives you 25% (almost 1 million people) that you have a great chance of getting your message to.

To do podcast marketing, all you really need is a headset (with a mic of course) to produce your message. So there is not a lot of cost in getting that part of your project started. So aside from that little bit of money, you will just need a few minutes to get it installed and adjust the way you prefer.

Once you have that in place, you can go to any of the podcast sites and download free software to do your podcast with. This software will help record your message and get it out as a podcast. So quite obviously, the podcast sites really would like you to share your content!

There are untold numbers of people who listen to podcasts. The reason I say this is because the latest research on the subject is a couple years old. Some internet sites are strictly podcasts! This is not to mention the fact that many people download podcasts on their computer. This is a win – win situation, because you will really never know who has access to or downloaded your podcast.

Finally, the response rate to podcasts is as much as 25 percent higher than email advertising! These numbers come from research I have done on the internet. That fact alone is very intriguing! I don’t know of any marketer who would not just flip over getting a 25% increase in their response rate!!!

So make sure that you include podcasts in your internet marketing campaign! It not only gives you more visibility on the web, but the audience is very responsive.
